We are proud of Newport’s justified reputation as one of Britain’s premier one day shows and are fully committed to retaining the qualities of a traditional rural show, whilst also providing the best of entertainment to make the day a great one for all our visitors.
The 2008 Show will get under way with the Working Hunter judging, one of my personal favourites and an area where we are expecting an even stronger than usual entry. As the day progresses we move through a mix of long established attractions and just a few exciting introductions into the programme. Do take the time to take a look at the Attractions Tab for more details of the activities in the rings and around the Showground.
The Newport and District Agricultural Society has been close to my heart over many years and this year will mark the 99th Show in our long history. You can find out more about the Society’s early days and it’s current aims by clicking on the Society Tab above.
Membership of the Society gives special benefits and access to the on site members facilities and is well worth considering. More details can be found under the Membership Tab above. Membership numbers are limited so if you are considering becoming a member the sooner you submit your application the less likely you are to be disappointed.
